“At first doing EMDR was … weird, and I thought, ‘How can this really help me?’ But then I noticed how I felt better after sessions, and then when I went out in the world, it became easier, bit-by-bit, to do the things that I was having difficulty with. For example, driving. I would have anxiety and panic attacks, but after EMDR, I noticed how they gradually improved, until the point where I could really manage what was going on, rather than feeling extremely overwhelmed. So, overall, I thought EMDR was strange, but then I realized that it worked. Jenn was great to work with, listened to me, and then provided me with the “tools” I needed to get better.
